Here’s a list of frequently asked questions that may help you solve any common issues you may have.

I’ve plugged my box into my router but still am not receiving a service.
Sometimes your router will need to be reset after adding a component to it. Try unplugging and then plugging your router back in to reset it.

What happens if I move the box into another room? Will I have to repeat the set-up process?
No, is the simple answer. Your box will remember your login details, so you can move the location of your box around until it’s perfect!


Can I still use the Internet on another device while I’m watching Very Tangy TV?

Yes of course.


Do I need a certain Internet provider? What happens If I am changing providers?

There is no need to go with one provider over another, it’s totally down to your preference. If you wanted, you could ask your provider to install a line into your living room.


I haven’t got an Internet connection in my living room, How do I connect the box without trailing wires through the house?

A simple solution to this problem is to buy a pair of Ethernet Adapters. Very Tangy offers this out to customers ion the website, at a reduced price than most retail stores.

My sound is delayed from the program playing.

Please check your internet connection speed, as this needs to be running at a minimum of 2meg for the service to run smoothly.


My Picture is distorted and showing funny colours.

Make sure that all cables are plugged in properly. If a connection is loose then it can affect the picture.


What about my ariel and the digital switchover?

The box is not connected to your ariel, and not affected by the digital switchover. It’s entirely up to you what you do with old equipment that you may have, you may want to keep it for use later or get rid of it altogether. Very Tangy TV does not need any more equipment than supplied in order to work.


What can I do if I’ve lost my PIN number?

When you sign up for Very Tangy, you will be given a PIN number within the email confirmation you receive when you order. Refer back to this email, or write it down for safe keeping.  If you cannot find this then call the technical team and we will be happy to help, just make sure you have your account name handy.


How will it affect my download Usage?
We recommend you have an ‘unlimited usage’ policy with your ISP (Internet Service Provider).  If you are limited to a certain amount of GB, then please contact your ISP and talk to them about upgrading your Download / usage limit.

How long will the set-up process take?
Once you have connected the set-top box to your router and television, for the first time, the setup process can take up to 15 minutes.
